About the webcast

In March, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Accountable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, the most far reaching health care legislation since the enactment of Medicare and Medicaid. While focusing on providing health insurance for the uninsured, numerous provisions in the legislation will have a major impact on long-term services and supports and people with disabilities. This presentation will analyze the recently enacted legislation, highlighting the CLASS Act, the direct care workforce, Medicare payment for post-acute care, care coordination, and quality of care in nursing homes.
