Grant Funded Activities

Medicaid Buy-In activities

Conduct outreach to individuals with disabilities and provide training for consumers, employers, service providers and State and local agency staff on the California Working Disabled program, the new Medicaid Buy-in in California, and other work incentives and disability-related employment supports.

Medicaid Services Improvements:

  • Create a Project Steering Committee (to include a majority of people with disabilities) to oversee the Health Incentive Improvement Project.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of, and develop improvement for, California's In-Home Supportive Services system, and the State's personal assistance services program, to support competitive employment of individuals with disabilities. Specifically, the project will authorize services to be used in the workplace for eligible Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
