Center Staff Member Finalist in White House Video Challenge on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
Posted: February, 2012
In the fall of 2011, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders launched the "What's your story?" video challenge. The challenge aimed to highlight the personal stories of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) across the country who have impacted their community through their dreams, experiences, and dedication to a cause.
Over 200 stories were entered. From these submissions, 11 video entries were chosen as finalists based on strength of content and creativity, including one by staff member, Alice Wong in which Alice talks about the importance of PAS services. Alice's entry is titled "Disability Advocacy and the AAPI Experience."
The contest solicited votes from the public.
