The Formal and Informal PAS Project

The primary goal of this five-year research project is to study the relationship between formal and informal PAS and caregiving support, and the role of assistive technology (AT) in complementing PAS. The project is directed by Mitch LaPlante and co-directed by Steve Kaye, assisted by Taewoon Kang, research statistician.


Companion Center

The University of California Disability Statistics Center is a companion center that provides information on disability statistics. The site provides disability resources, a listing of publications, and information on finding disability data and understanding disability statistics.

State and National Disability Statistics

The Center for Personal Assistance Services has compiled state and national data on the prevalence of overall disability and of self-care difficulty, by gender, age, race and ethnicity, type of disability, family income, benefit recipiency, employment status, and living arrangement.
